I enjoy the lunch combos here, particularly the mapo tofu and hot & sour soup combo. It’s a good amount of food and usually ends up lasting me for two meals. The spicy level is inconsistent but it yummy nonetheless. Good price for downtown Bethesda.

Service was good. I only ordered one dish recommended by the waitress, which was “grilled” whole fish. It flavored more to the taste of “Americans”, instead of Asians. No complaints, but just want to point out that this wouldn’t be my choice of authentic Chinese food. A bit of disappointment, sorry to say so.☺️

Last week was our first time we came to that place. But It is surely not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the generous service, with the finest cuisine and wine and with the decent pay. We will no doubt visit there again.

At first glance upon entry, you may be confused as to why you stepped into a tiki bar, but trust me, you're in the right place. The interior, though dimly lit, is still adequately bright with the clever use and placement of large mirrors to give the entire space more room than there actually is. The waitress sat us promptly and politely for lunch, and we were given a veritable spread of options. For appetizers, we had the spicy shrimp dumplings (basically dim sum) which were phenomenal, being both soft yet firm, with just the right amount of spice. The chopped chicken with lettuce wraps actually came with with a whole half a lettuce to make our own wraps, which was quite delightful. I had the Mapo Tofu with minced pork, which was wonderfully spiced, yet soft and savory enough to enjoy without discomfort. The tea was lovely, the service was prompt and polite, all in all, the only issue I had was that I had to leave so soon.

I love going to this restaurant. The staff is so friendly. I always get such a warm welcome from the owners and servers -- I feel like I am home every time I come in. And Tiki night is the best! Great drinks and people. Because I love the restaurant so much, I decided to try them for take out after COVID closed the restaurants. And it is still delicious! If you are looking to order Chinese -- order here. You won't be disappointed.

I would give it 7 Stars if I could. The food is melt-in-your-mouth beautifully cooked Chinese Asian fare. Prices are very reasonable, service was with a smile and very respectfully friendly. The chef even came out and asked if our food was to our satisfaction. Overall a wonderful dinner. Aditionally the restaurant itself is beautiful very serene atmosphere with tasteful decor. I will come back as often as I'm in this part of the country, you can be sure of that.

I have eaten here a lot over the years. NEVER had bad service and and meals are "above average" for neighborhood Chinese. I do stick to a few favorites that are very well done. Always a pleasant experience.

I had heard there was a "tiki night" at this place. There is a bar with some thatch and some novelty tikis. The menu advertises fresh lime juice, but I saw Rose's in use, disappointingly. Neon red cocktail cherries were another clue this place isn't to be taken seriously. Food was okay, not special. Lots of TVs showing golf kills the vibe.

Great meal and fabulous service. No complaints. Each dish was flavorful and well constructed.

Mediocre lunch. Scallion pancakes not the way they are supposed to be, few scallions, not the kind if texture a good scallion pancake has. Vegetables not very tasty. Peking duck average. Skin was not crisp enough, although the duck meat was tasty. Scallions very fresh, sauce and pancakes fine. Overall ok but not a place I would go back to. Pricey for what we got.

Excellent Chinese food. Never a reheated cuisine type restaurant and always fresh and served hot. Very good tea but they do not have a large selection to choose from. Currently they do not serve dim sum which is a bit of a bummer but there are other fine restaurants in the area that do or in Gaithersburg like Good Fortune. Still though this rates very high on my list on places to eat in Bethesda.

Excellent food. Ask for the sweet and sour seafood soup, spicy version. Many other fine dishes. Been going there for years. Public parking lot across the street. Free on weekends.

I had a great experience in this restaurant. We enjoyed the amazing ambience and the meals. The waiters are super amiable. I’m glad we eventually managed to try this place.

This place is worth visiting. They have large portions for convenient rates. Consistently well kept and with awesome vibes. Will come back again.

Updated: Have been there since then and service has been better so bumped my review up to 3. (Food is yummy)Original review: Service was terrible! It took over an hour for food to come to our table and one main dish never arrived (until we requested the check, then they brought it but we declined because... what the heck). It sucks because the food was pretty good but not worth the wait and poor service.
